How is talking on a cellphone during driving different from talking to a passenger?

Monday, December 28th, 2009

Marii asked:

I know using your cellphone while driving is dangerous, but why is it different from talking to one of your passengers?

Aren’t you talking either way? I always hear the warnings against cellphone usage, but never against conversing with another person in the car.

Just wondering =)
Thanks!

I’ve read they must be at least 30 pounds, but I also heard that they must be at least 4 years old. Well, that doesn’t make any sense because kids usually reach 30 pounds before they turn 4, right? So, now what do you go by? Height? I just don’t get it.

How do you drive safely at night?

nicesinging1 asked:

At night, even with light on, it isn’t always easy to drive safely because sometimes the road sign isn’t clear, the light isn’t the brightest, some cars drive with headlights off, and etc…
I could be wrong but substantial car accidents happen at night as they do during the day.
Personally, knowing all that, I try to avoid driving at night but in some occasions, I must drive.
Could anyone provide me with tips on how to drive safely at night? What should I watch out for driving at night?
Thanks in advance for any insights.
